What are you thoughts on Asylum of the Daleks?

I thought the episode was great! It started out a bit rushed and confused, as lots of episodes tend to do, but the last 15-20 minutes or so of it was incredible for a series premiere!

I loved the ending twist, and I didn’t see it coming, at least not to that extent. I thought Oswin might have been one of the Dalek puppet things, but not an actual Dalek like that.

I agree it was rushed in the sense that it was never really hinted all that much before this episode that Rory really, really wanted kids so badly, and also that their sudden and extreme breakup kind of came out of nowhere, especially after Moffat kind of went out of his way to portray them as The Most Loving Couple Ever after all they’ve been through.

I did really like though how the issue of Rory supposedly loving Amy more than she loves him was actually brought up, since I think that’s something that the bulk of the fandom has been thinking for a while, especially after the whole 2,000 years thing. It was nice to see that addressed on the show like that, though I wish there was a little more background as to why Amy decided to just throw Rory out like that instead of explaining how she really felt, though honestly, being rash like that does kind of seem way more in sync with her character.

Maybe (hopefully) we’ll get a few more details on how the breakup actually came about like that, but for now, I really did like how their supposed imbalance was addressed on the show, and I was crying everywhere during that scene.

Lastly: Four for you, Steven Moffat, for actually making the Daleks intimidating again! You go, Steven Moffat.

Just finished watching Asylum of the Daleks:

My tears are crying tears and my questions are asking questions.

I mean this in the best possible way.
