    You guys should have seen the fan response to River last night.

    When she appeared onscreen for the first time, at least half the theater starting woo-ing and clapping and whistling in appreciation, and anytime she had a sexy one-liner or shot something, the audience went nuts again. They didn’t do this for Eleven or Amy or Rory or anybody else, just River.

    I was actually really surprised by this (and happy about it too, cause I like River!), just because I feel like the bulk of Tumblr posts about her are insanely negative for one reason or another.

    So, in appreciation of River Song, here are some River GIFs:

    SPOILERS doctorwhoandthetardis: Doctor Who ‘The Wedding of River Song’ ~ FINALE TEASERS! It’s a surprisingly simple tale, though told in a clever way. It’s so rich with detail and it’s enormous fun There is technobabble, but that’s largely a red herring The teaser looks like it was more expensive than the rest of the “back six” put together. It’s a visual and conceptual delight It does answer a lot of questions, but some old ones (from Matt Smith’s first series) are still left open, and some new ones are posed There are many, many glorious special effects sequences The denouement is bound to cause some debate.     A lot of people have probably seen this already, but I hadn’t until today. The woman on the left is Mrs. Angelo, grandmother of Amy’s friend Jeff Angelo from The Eleventh Hour. Remember? The Doctor and Amy rush inside her house to watch Prisoner Zero’s guard on the TV, and to get to Jeff and his laptop. The woman on the right is River Song, obviously. THEY ARE WEARING (what looks like, anyway) THE SAME DAMN BROOCH. I mean, it has to be the same brooch. It really looks like it from what we can see, and it’s quite distinctive in shape. Why would they make both women wear such an obvious pin unless it meant something? What does everyone think? Is this River after a certain regeneration? Is Mrs. Angelo linked to River somehow? Is she linked to Madame Kovarian? Thoughts?

(I am beyond aware that he is “The Doctor” not “Doctor Who” or “Dr. Who,” and that Amy Pond and River Song are Eleven’s companions, not Ten. The joke was just too tempting.)
