souloversubstance asked: You make a really cute amy. Just felt like throwing that out there.

    Ah, thank you! :)

bowtiesforall asked: Did you know that Amy pond (Karen Gillan) appears in one chapter with the 10th doctor. She's a soothsayer in "The Fires of Pompei" If you know, what was your impression when you find out?

Yep, that’s pretty well known in the fandom :) I actually hadn’t seen that episode yet at the time (11 was my first Doctor) so I just thought it was a cool coincidence, since Doctor Who reuses actors a lot!

    pondering being Pond-ish.

    pondering being Pond-ish.

Anonymous asked: Do you do any Doctor Who cosplaying?

Yep! I’ve cosplayed as Amy Pond and as Femme!Eleven :)

I’ve also done a makeup tutorial for Rose Tyler (as well as Amy Pond) but not an actual cosplay.

stormageddon2113 asked: Okay not so much a question...buttt I just read your post about not having eaten fish fingers and custard. According to the bf, it's actually really good, he ate it all summer while he was at sea for school, I've yet to try it so I'm not sure I entirely believe him...Ohhh and totally loveeee the scarf! I keep trying to get my aunt to knit me one and for some reason she won't! :(

Anonymous asked: okay, i know this is really sad, but i don't watch doctor who, and i've never watched it before. i like a lot of the fandoms on tumblr and i think i should start, but, idk. is it too late? starting from the first episode.

It’s never too late to start! I’d recommend starting with either the episode “Rose” (the very first one of the reboot) or the episode “The Eleventh Hour” (the very first Matt Smith episode).

Personally, I’d recommend The Eleventh Hour over Rose only because it’s the introduction of the current Doctor, and if you end up liking the show, it will take you a shorter amount of time to get fully caught up than it would if you started at the very beginning.

hate-the-endings asked: Just wanted to say that I really enjoyed your critique of Series 6. Very insightful and logical. You, my friend, have just been followed. ;)

    Why thank you very much!

Anonymous asked: What do you think is the story arc for series 7? I NEED TO KNOW

Anonymous asked: Would you agree with me that Steven Moffat would be a fucking phenomenal film writer but doesn't quite excel in writing a series? Because, I mean, from my perspective, all his stories individually are cool but the series doesn't always seem to fit together in the way it feels like it should, you know? Like we have a bunch of related pieces, not one whole story. Anyway, do you agree?

I do agree! His strongest work in general seems to be his one-off episodes, like Blink. But he also wrote the Series 5 two-part finale which incorporated a lot of little clues and buildup from the rest of the series, and that is still my favorite episode(s) in all of Doctor Who.

Still though, his little hints and “trolling” and buildup can get pretty tedious throughout a whole series (or multiple seasons, as it is seeming to be), so I definitely agree that he would be a much better feature film writer than a series writer.

Anonymous asked: What do you think of Steven Moffat?

I think he can sometimes be a master of weaving intricate plots together and he has incredibly creative ideas, but I don’t think he’s usually the best when it comes to consistent character development or creating stories that are character-driven as opposed to plot-driven. (Not always, but sometimes, for all of these things.)

Check out my critique of Series 6 for a better explanation of what I mean!
